Google API Services User Data Policy
Limited Use Disclosure: Eko's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In accordance with that policy, Eko commits to the following:
- Limited use: Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features that are clearly described in this policy and requested by you. We do not use Google data for any other purpose.
- No data transfer: We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, and only with your consent or as required by law.
- No advertising: We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements.
- No unauthorized use: We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless you have given us explicit permission, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.
- No AI/ML training: Eko does not use data obtained from Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information with trusted infrastructure and service providers strictly necessary to operate the service, including:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Authentication and identity providers
- Analytics providers (aggregated, non-identifiable data only)
These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only for the purposes of providing their services to us.
Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.
Google Calendar events synced to Eko are stored as part of your Eko data so they are available in your timeline and calendar view. When you disconnect Google Calendar from Eko, all events that were synced from Google Calendar are permanently deleted from our servers. Your Google account itself is not affected.
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app — go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. You can also contact [email protected] if you need assistance. Deletions are processed immediately and cannot be undone.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Revoking Google Access
You may disconnect Google Calendar from Eko at any time from the Connected Apps section in your profile. Disconnecting will permanently delete all Google Calendar events that were synced to Eko and prevent Eko from accessing your Google Calendar going forward.
You can also revoke Eko's access directly through your Google Account permissions settings. Revoking access there will prevent Eko from syncing new data, and you should also disconnect from within Eko to remove any previously synced events.
Third-Party Services
Eko may integrate with third-party services such as Google Calendar and other productivity tools. Your use of those services is also governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party services.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Receive a portable copy of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
Eko is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. Continued use of Eko after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
