Terms of Service

Eko provides productivity tools for tasks, calendar planning, habits, notes, reminders, widgets, integrations, and AI-assisted organization. Some features are free, and some features require Eko Pro or another paid entitlement.

Eko may provide optional integrations and native capabilities, including Google Calendar, Todoist, Apple Health, Screen Time / Family Controls, notifications, Live Activities, microphone input, photo attachments, location for weather, and in-app purchases.

You need an account to use most Eko features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account from inside the app. Account deletion is permanent and removes active account data associated with your Eko account, subject to backup, legal, security, and fraud-prevention retention described in the Privacy Policy.

Eko Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks paid features shown in the app, such as expanded AI access, web research, assistant memories, briefs, background assistant work, Apple Health habit auto-complete, and Screen Time blocking.

• Prices, trial availability, billing periods, feature limits, and renewal details are shown before purchase in the app.
• On iOS, purchases are processed through Apple in-app purchase and charged to your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, or as otherwise stated by the applicable app store.
• You can manage or cancel an iOS subscription in your Apple account subscription settings.
• Restore Purchases re-syncs your entitlement for the signed-in Eko account.
• Refunds, billing disputes, and payment failures may be handled by the applicable app store, payment provider, or RevenueCat according to their rules.

We may change paid features, plan names, prices, trial offers, or limits in the future. Changes to existing subscriptions will be handled according to applicable law and app-store rules.

Eko AI can generate suggestions, plans, summaries, reminders, calendar proposals, task or note drafts, research notes, and other content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it. Eko does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax, mental-health, or other professional advice. Do not rely on Eko as a substitute for a qualified professional.

Web research and web-search features may summarize third-party sources. Those sources are not controlled by Eko and may be inaccurate, unavailable, offensive, or subject to their own terms.

Apple Health features are optional, read-only, and intended for productivity automation, such as checking off a workout habit or adding sleep context to a brief. Eko is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or health advice.

Screen Time / Family Controls features are optional, iOS-only, and intended for personal focus management. They are not a parental-control, safety, emergency, or guaranteed blocking system. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

If you connect a third-party service, you authorize Eko to access, process, and sync information from that service — including creating, updating, and deleting items such as Google Calendar events — as needed to provide the feature you enabled and as described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services, app stores, payment providers, AI providers, search providers, weather providers, and integration partners are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Eko is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

You retain ownership of content you create, import, upload, or share with Eko, including tasks, notes, calendar details, habits, messages, images, audio, feedback, and connected-service data.

You grant Eko a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, and modify your content solely as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service and to comply with law.

You are responsible for your content and for ensuring that you have the rights needed to provide it to Eko. Do not upload content that violates the law, infringes others' rights, or contains malware or harmful instructions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent activity
• Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person
• Upload malware, malicious links, or content intended to disrupt systems
• Attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or integrations without authorization
• Interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass the Service or its limits
• Circumvent app-store payment rules, subscription enforcement, or Eko Pro feature gates
• Use Eko to generate or distribute spam, deceptive content, or infringing material
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for users or the Service, or used Eko in a way that could expose us or others to liability.

The Privacy Policy explains how Eko collects, uses, shares, and protects information. By using Eko, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you downloaded Eko from the Apple App Store, Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or its content. Your use of Eko may also be subject to Apple's App Store, Apple Media Services, and in-app purchase rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms only to the extent required by Apple's rules.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that Eko will be uninterrupted, error-free, available on every platform, or compatible with every device, operating system, entitlement, or third-party service.

Some features depend on third-party APIs, app-store approval, device permissions, internet access, or backend services. Those dependencies may fail or change.

Eko and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including software, design, branding, logos, copy, templates, workflows, and other materials. These Terms do not grant you any rights in Eko except the limited right to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or reliability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eko and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising out of or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Eko for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.

You may stop using Eko at any time and may delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws require otherwise. We will try to resolve disputes informally first if you contact us.

We may update these Terms as Eko changes. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use of Eko after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
